Urban Cycling Coalition
The Urban Cycling Coalition (UCC) is a committee of the Prince George Cycling Club whose goal is safe, efficient, convenient, enjoyable cycling; in and around the City of Prince George.
The UCC was formed in response to the many challenges and dangers faced by Prince George cyclists, including inadequate bike routes, physical or legal cycling barriers, deficient bike parking, inconsiderate or hostile motorists, insufficient information; and bike lanes full of parked vehicles, broken glass, garbage, dirt, and snow.
The UCC is gathering information from the community of cyclists and would-be cyclists in order to advocate towards the goal of safe, efficient, convenient, enjoyable cycling for the benefit of Prince George commuters, road/mountain bikers, casual cyclists, and people of all ages who simply want to cycle.
The UCC is hosting a Community Cycling Forum to identify what discourages cyclists and what Prince George should do to become cycle friendly. This highly interactive opportunity will let you express your views, propose solutions, rank priorities, win prizes, meet cyclists, and maybe even join the club. Cyclist or citizen, athlete or environmentalist, everyone is welcome. For more information on this forum, visit our events page.
