Urban Cycling
Many members of the Prince George Cycling Club are commuters with destinations or casual cyclists such a families enjoying the river front. Together with road racers in training or mountain bikers heading to favorite trails, they all share a diverse environment that includes provincial highways, city streets, and park pathways. We don’t have a good word to describe all these different cyclists so we coined the term Urban Cyclists. If you have a better term, please let us know.
Prince George has lots of routes and trails for Urban Cyclists. However, there are many difficult or dangerous places in our Urban environment. Recently, a group of PGCC members created the Urban Cycling Coalition to identify these challenges and try to find solutions. For more information on the UCC, click here.
