Pidherny Trails
Description: The Pidherny Trail Network is a pretty extensive, and starts at the Foothills Landfill and ends on Pidherny Rd; with cross-country trails extending all the way west to the cut banks along North Nechako Rd.. Depending on the trail you choose, they range from easy to difficult. Many of the trails have quite a few structures and jumps built. Most people park at the pullout at the end of Pidherny Rd., push to the top and then ride back down. Try hiking back up the "$10" trail. It only takes about 10 minutes to get back up that way, and it isn't too hard of a hike. At the end of "Bukkake" you will find a pretty cool dirt jump area.
Directions: From downtown Prince George, drive up 15th Ave. and turn right onto Foothills Blvd. Drive straight up Foothills Blvd until you reach North Nechako Rd. Turn left onto North Nechako Rd. and drive until you reach Pidherny Rd. Turn right onto Pidherny Rd. Follow Pidherny Rd. until you reach the yellow Gate. Park here and push your bike up Pidherny Rd. for about 2.25 km until you reach the dirt Jump Pit (on the right). You can access the trails from here. It is best to push your bike up "$10" to access the top of the trails.
Trail Difficulty: Varies from moderate to difficult depending on the trail.

Description: The Connector runs the length of the trailheads for most of the trails in the Pidherny Network. It is a pretty flat trail that connects all of the trails together at the top. There is not much built up on the Connector until you pass Split Decision; there are some jumps, skinnies, and ramps built. There are no steep descents, but it is a fun windy trail.
Directions: Go to the Pidherny Trail Network trailhead (see the directions under Pidherny Trail Network). Make your way to the top of any of the trails. The Connector trail runs from the start of $10 to the gravel pit.

Description: This is a really fun trail to ride. There area’t any good jumps or ramps built, but there are lots of logs to hop and sharp switchbacks to navigate. This trail is also very narrow at points. It is a cool trail to pick up some speed and wind through the trees. This is a good trail for new single track riders who want to test their skills, or experienced riders who want a bit of a change from the freeride scene.
Directions: Go to the Pidherny Trail Network trailhead (see the directions under Pidherny Trail Network). Follow the Connector Trail until you get to a large rotten log lying across the trail. This is the trailhead to Valve Job. The sign is facing the other way up the trail so you have to turn around to see it.

Description: This is an okay trail with some good jumps. It is super steep and sandy, but the trail is very short and the steep parts make up the majority of it. Don’t go down this trail unless you are really comfortable with steep downhills, as the descents are steep and the trail is worn into a narrow rut down the center. The sand makes this trail slick. This is a good trail for a really quick thrill.
Directions: Go to the Pidherny Trail Network trailhead (see the directions under Pidherny Trail Network). Follow the Connector past Valve Job and you will see the sign on the left. This trail starts with a nice little jump right at the trailhead.

Description: Carcass is a longer trail. This trail has quite a few ramps and jumps built on it. There are also some good steep descents. Don’t venture down this trail unless you are comfortable with steep descents. This trail is longer, which makes the long hike back up more worth it. There are also quite a few little jumps that make this quick trail one of the funnest in this network.
Directions: Go to the Pidherny Trail Network trailhead (see the directions under Pidherny Trail Network). Follow the Connector, past Split Decision and all of the other trailheads until you see the sign for Carcass off to the left.

Description: This is a pretty fun older trail. It has a lot of ramps and jumps built up on it. There are no steep descents on this trail. It is relatively short, so it makes a good trail to walk back up if you aren’t able to shuttle. The hike back up only takes about 10 or 15 minutes.
Directions: Go to the Pidherny Trail Network trailhead (see the directions under Pidherny Trail Network). Follow the Connector right to the end, past Split Decision and all of the other trailheads. Description: The Ditch Pig is a fun trail on Pidherny Road leading to the Pidherny parking lot. It is a must ride if you are headed down. This trail is windy, has some good jumps and one nice ramp jump. At the end of the Ditch Pig you have the option of coming back out on the gravel road, or continuing on down further on some more trails.
Directions: After finishing any of the trails from Split Decision on, keep left until you hit the gravel road. Ride down the gravel road until you see a small 4 wheeler track coming off of the left side (there are a few coming off as you go down Pidherny Rd.). The Ditch Pig starts just a few feet down that track, on the right hand side of the 4 wheeler track.
